  • Rose Browne

    Instructor

Rose Browne was born and raised in Wichita, KS. She developed an appreciation for the human body at an early age due to being diagnosed with Epilepsy. Rose was an athlete as well and found an appreciation for sports at an early age which continued through high school. She played soccer, swam for a summer swim team 10 years and high school swim team all 4 years, and played basketball her freshman year of high school. She was also in the high school marching band all 4 years. After graduating from high school, Rose sought a degree in Radiology Technology. After 3 years of pursuing this degree, she decided it wasn’t her passion. Rose wanted to combine her love for physical activity and the human body so she changed schools to seek a degree in Kinesiology. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, December 2007. After graduating, she moved to Colorado to be with her husband. She had her son in March 2008. After 9 months of being a stay at home mom, she joined the workforce and began working for a pain management doctor in 2009. This was when she first heard about Pilates. The doctors were prescribing “core stabilization using Yoga and Pilates.” After having her daughter in 2011, Rose did not return to work. She decided to stay home with her kids. During this time she was experiencing back pain. She joined a local gym where she started taking a variety of group exercise classes, including Mat Pilates 2-3 times per week. One of her instructors asked her about becoming an instructor and she decided to take a leap out of her comfort zone. In 20013, Rose earned her first certifications from AAAI/ ISMA in Mat Pilates, Kickboxing, and Strength and Conditioning. She began teaching Mat Pilates to her friends in her basement soon after becoming certified. In 2014, Rose earned two more certifications and got her first job teaching Kickboxing, Mat Pilates, and Kids and Teen fitness classes. She continued to teach friends in her basement and her business was born. Rose earned her AFAA Group Exercise Instructor certification in August 2014 and her NASM Certified Personal Trainer certification in May 2015. Rose has worked at a few different gyms and has taught a wide variety of classes but her passion remained true to Pilates. She began her comprehensive Pilates training through Balanced Body in March of 2015. During her training she continued to teach group classes and started teaching Reformer Pilates in June 2015 at TruFit Southlands. Rose completed her training modules in October 2017. Rose has spent the last 18 months working on completing her teaching and personal experience hours, additional Pilates based workshops, and mentoring sessions with her teacher trainer. Rose expects to test out of the Balanced Body teacher training program this year with well over 500 hours of comprehensive training. Rose became a foster parent in 2017. In her spare time she enjoys continuing her education and being active with her dog, two children, husband, and three bonus children. Rose enjoys exploring different forms of physical activity and is able to due to her continuous Pilates practice. She has not had back pain since establishing her Pilates practice. Rose enjoys taking vacations with her family and camping.
