Billie J. Morgan

Billie is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who graduated from Maryville University of St. Louis, Missouri. She has spent 16 years working in the field of psychiatric nursing; working in the community, jail, and inpatient psychiatric unit. Her joy in life is helping others to live their best life. This may be with the use of medication to improve mood or a guide to resources in the community that will help her clients succeed. Whichever the route may be, her goal is for her patient is to be educated on their options and find a sense of empowerment through the process. She is dedicated to developing a relationship with each client and understanding their story. Looking at each client as a unique individual helps to tailor the collaborative treatment that will be elicited. She adores her children and family. Her favorite past time is laughing loudly. She enjoys playing pranks on her friends and family, telling stories, having long conversations with her two Bengal rescue cats, going to the gym, traveling, and relaxing days of fishing.

Derenda Beasley

Mrs. Beasley is a native of Leesburg, FL currently residing in Dothan, AL. In 2008, she began working at Southeast Health Hospital on the Behavioral Health Unit for adults. Ms. Beasley has over 12 years of nursing experience and has worked in a variety of settings including behavioral health for children, intensive care, corrections, home health, med surgical nursing, geriatric nursing, inpatient/outpatient psychiatric nursing, rural healthcare and quality management. She is a member of American Nurses Association (ANA), Alabama State Nurses Association (ASNA) and American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and she is actively licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the states of Colorado, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and South Carolina. Mrs. Beasley completed her Associate Degree of Nursing at Wallace Community College; Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Jacksonville State University; Master of Science Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain College of Nursing; Post MSN Degree Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Maryville University. Derenda is happily married and a proud mother of 5. She actively volunteers in a multitude of sports activities, community service projects and loves Alabama football.

Kelly Kilcrease

Kelly is a dual certified nurse practitioner in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice with Board certifications through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She attended graduate school in Texas at the University of Texas at Arlington completing a Master of Science in Nursing for family practice and postgraduate study and certification in psychiatry and mental health. Kelly began her career as a nurse practitioner working in private practice providing care to all age groups and most recently working in the field of addiction recovery focusing on co-occurring mental health and substance abuse. She has a passion for people and their wellbeing and works diligently to help restore personal health and wellness to the mind, body and soul. Kelly’s personal time is spent with her family, raising her children and helping her husband with their cattle. She also enjoys outdoor activities and cooking with her husband.

Kristen Wille

Kristen strongly believes that all clients should have access to care and that this care can be provided in formats other than just monthly medication management visits. Kristen works passionately with all ages, while also focusing on adults with “serious and persistent mental illness”, as well as substance abuse/dependence. She has a passion for helping the more treatment-resistant population, our large military population within Colorado Springs, PTSD/trauma and abuse clients, women’s issues, and adolescents. Kristen believes that nothing will be accomplished without first developing a strong rapport with each client and honesty is to be upheld on both ends at all times. It is so important to find unique and creative ways to get each client engaged in their own care, for growth and recovery will only occur if there is a belief that positive change can happen!

Laine Williams

Laine started her career as a therapist in inpatient psychiatric hospitals and worked for several years with people suffering from a range of symptoms and illnesses, many of whom had significant trauma histories. Her experience has solidified a firm belief that everyone deserves to heal and feel joy, no matter what has happened to them or what decisions they have made to cope. Lain’s philosophy as a therapist is that mental health must be approached holistically from a mind-body perspective. She utilizes a variety of mindfulness education techniques and exercises in sessions to help her clients notice their physical bodies and engage emotional sensations safely. Laine believes that by re-establishing a sense of safety in the physical body, we can engage our emotions without as much fear and open ourselves to the joy and wonder of the present moment. Laine approaches her clients from a place of deep compassion, non-judgment, and curiosity. Safe connection is a foundational part of healing and she aims to bring acceptance (and a little bit of humor!) to her clients' lives as we explore the parts of your journey that have led you to seek counseling. Laine specializes in treating pre-teens, teenagers and their parents, but also works with adults and those with trauma histories.

Opening our incredible practice in January 2017, Mike has grown our amazing team to what we are today. Graduating from the University of South Alabama, he has since gained many years of experience. While he has taken a step back from seeing patients on a daily basis, Mike continues to help countless children, adolescents, and adults of all age ranges and disorders. Mike believes in a truly collaborative approach to your care and looks forward to continuing his successful business to help patients be the best version of themselves. When Mike is not in the office, he enjoys 4 wheeling, cooking, and playing video games!

Nathan Schneider

Nathan is board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He completed a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Family Psychiatry from the University of South Alabama. Nathan also completed three graduate degrees including a Master of Healthcare Administration, Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Management Information Systems. Within the field of mental health, Nathan has worked in outpatient, inpatient and residential settings. Nathan believes in a person-centered collaborative approach and he always strives to help others achieve their fullest potential in life. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, watching football, listening to music and traveling!

Precious Barnes

Precious is a Family/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience. Her previous nursing background includes the following specialties Cardiology, surgical, and rehabilitation. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2016 as a dual certified Family/Psych NP. She graduated with a 4.0 at the top of her class, receiving the Sara E. Barger Outstanding Graduate Student Award. Since then, she has been working full time treating patients across the lifespan and is especially passionate about child/adolescent psychiatry. Precious takes pride in providing holistic, patient centered, evidence-based care. When Precious is not working she enjoys traveling, watching movies and spending quality with her family.

Shawn Howard

Shawn Howard is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She has dedicated over 20 years in the healthcare profession. Before becoming a dual Certified Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse for 16 years practicing in various clinical settings, which allowed her to explore her expertise in the medical and mental health field. She started her nursing career in 1996 as a Licensed Practical Nurse following in her mother’s footsteps and her passion to care for people. She pursued her undergraduate degree at Southern Union Community College in Opelika, Alabama in 1998. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she obtained her MSN degree in the concentration of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She resides with her family in a small town in Alabama and enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys fishing, swimming, camping, watching classic movies and listening to music. Her clinical philosophy is focused on caring for patients in a holistic approach, which ensures their mental and medical needs are met. This helps her patients and their families reach optimal mental health outcomes.

Sonata Poon

Sonata Poon is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Auburn University at Montgomery. Sonata received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and holds an active membership with the American Nurses Association. Sonata is a Youth Fellow Alumni for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Sonata has a passion for mental health and believes total wellness starts with the mind. Sonata has experience that includes, but is not limited to: outpatient programs and assertive community treatment centers.
